1.0 After opening a checking account, it took me 45 minutes to verify my cash withdrawal from inside the bank. Then my paycheck was held for 7 days. My car payment was double-paid, and I was told they can only issue refunds with a paper check even though it was paid electronically. I waited 2 months for the check and eventually applied the credit towards my next payment. Very unorganized with terrible customer service.

2.0 Call center customer service is the most mediocre thing I’ve experienced… No one answers the phones!The only “strategies” they know are cutting staff to lower costs and increasing fees.

3.0 I have banked with Tuna Bank for several years, yet their phone system has gotten so horrible that I am looking for a new bank. You can’t get to a live person to even report a lost card. It just says to use the app, then you use the app, and it says to contact the phone system, which sends you back to the app. It can’t understand what you’re saying and then tells you to call back later. Whoever sets up their phone system should be fired. I’m shopping for a new bank for the first time in 10 years, thanks to their horrible system. 45 minutes to report a lost card, seriously? How is that good business?

4.0 If I could give a negative score, I would do so. I am on hold for 45 minutes for the third attempt to reach a human to talk to at their customer service center. I initially only wanted to ask about a particular charge to my card, as I thought I’d already paid this card off fully. But as of this minute, if I ever get someone on the line to inquire about the charge, I will pay it off if it’s legit and cancel the card, taking a temporary hit to my credit score because I will never sit through a workday holding for a customer service rep with Tuna Bank ever again.

5.0 .. Learn to be professional instead of escalating. No one wants to listen to or cooperate with your crap attitudes, thinking that will solve it. You work at a bank; quit following this crap attitude that runs through society. The manager does not listen. You young people fail at listening and reasoning. Explain your stupid addresses not being on your computers. The left hand does not know what the right hand does, along with this zombie blame game.
6.0 When people talk about Matrix Bank in a bad way, listen! Listen very well, and avoid the headache. They are scammers looking for a quick buck, no matter how right you are. I’m warning everyone to stay out; they fake late charges and take advantage of customer service, especially the supervisors. STAY AWAY FROM DEBITS OR CREDIT CARDS.
7.0 I went to Matrix Bank today to deposit a personal check from a client. The teller advised me there would be a hold put on the check for 5 days, and when I asked her why, she told me it had to do with my credit history. I had to actually meet up with my client while she was at a hair salon to get cash funds. I sat in a cold car at about 25 degrees to wait for her. We had to go to another bank to get these funds and then travel all the way back to my car and then to Matrix Bank to deposit cash. When I returned, I had the same snarly customer service rep named Janice. When I asked to use the washroom, she said they didn’t have washrooms available for customers. really?? After all that, I had to use the washroom and was forced to visit a local Subway, where they were very friendly and cordial.
8.0 I am very disappointed in MATRIX Bank as a whole. I have worked as a PSW for 15 years and need access to funds immediately when they are deposited. This is extremely inconvenient for a person running a business.
9.0 There is a teller named Sandra who is obnoxious, power-hungry, belittles people, and tries to win you with her flirtatious smile but won’t even take a look at your account. She works in Columbia Square. She should be fired from her job for acting as though she is the branch manager. She should be fired.
10.0 It’s always been bad, but MATRIX customer service is deplorable at this point. No one should consider doing business with this company. They have serious issues with technology, and their customer service representatives are the rudest I’ve ever experienced. I’ve spent the last two hours attempting to get them to unfreeze my debit card. This occurs almost every month. Save yourself the headache. There is nothing convenient about this bank.
11.0 I found someone’s wallet with a driver’s license and MATRIX debit card. I called MATRIX Bank so they could get in touch with the client to get it back. I spoke with customer care and spoke to the supervisor, and they both answered, “Sorry, we cannot make outgoing calls.”
12.0 I called from Venice to the MATRIX help line and waited for 49 minutes the first time, and the support dropped the call after verifying the second call. I waited in line for 1 hour and 23 minutes, but no one picked up and told me I was on the first row. MATRIX never cares for their customers; I do not know if they really have some system to check for so long. To cut a long story short, I will advise you all if you travel and need some emergency help. You can’t trust Matrix. The worst service I ever saw in my entire life. Feel that they do not care for us.
13.0 This explains a lot about MATRIX Bank. I was approved for a credit card and can’t even activate it. I called MATRIX Bank, and they couldn’t activate it on their end. What the? I wasted a day of my life calling and web-searching. This bank is clueless. The worst bank or credit card place I have ever dealt with.
